Median pay in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work sits well above the national average for all occupations. This isn't a lesser path, it's a different one, with less risk attached to it than the path most of us were raised to assume was automatically safer.

- Do you want to be sitting at a desk, or building and fixing things?

- How do you feel about earning a paycheck sooner instead of later?

- Want to go tour a trade program together and just see what it's actually like?

Accreditation recognized by the state or a national trade body (PHCC, NCCER, or similar)

A real job placement rate the school will actually show you, not just claim

Direct relationships with local employers or apprenticeship sponsors

Instructors with real, current field experience, not just classroom credentials

Total cost and financing terms in writing before you commit to anything
A legitimate program will answer every one of these without hesitation. If a school gets vague or defensive, that's the answer too.
